What is PSTN?

PSTN is Public Switched Telephone Network. It is a global voice communications telephone network, including commercial and government.


PBX (also called PABX): Private Branch Exchange is a telephone network in the company. It is economical and simple.

IP-UC: based on IP. It could provide the same functions as PBX and integrate voice and data to save cost such as deployment, use and maintenance. It is expandable and easy to upgrade.


VoIP: Voice over Internet Protocol
The advantage of VoIP is that VoIP is based on Internet and global IP environment to provide more and better value-added service. VoIP could send voice, fax, video and data, such as Unified Message, Virtual Phone, eFax, IP Contact Center, Video Conference, and Electric Commerce.


NGN: Next Generation Network. It is a milestone of telecom. NGN bears all the operations over PSTN, transfer most of data transmission into IP network and take use of the IP features to increase many new applications and strengthen some old applications. NGN supports many operations such as voice, data, and media. NGN is also a low cost technology.


IP-CC is a Contact Center which is based on IP. It takes full use of CTI to keep contact with your customers and share your customers’ demands in order to serve them well. IP-CC is a workgroup, including agents, IVR, fax, voice mail, etc. They can communicate with each other and share the resource over Internet. It can set up the relation between operation system and OA system. Nowadays, with the development of computer and the popularity of Internet, IP-CC can integrate more customer application and provide customized service for customers to improve your customers’ satisfactory and your company’s visualization.


IP-UC could integrate voice communications into data network to set up a unified voice and data network, which could connect all the branches and employees around the world. Many companies find that the maintenance fee of traditional telephone system is very high and it is limited to support separate and movable work. An important feature of IP-UC is a single equipment, which could provide many communications mode, such as voice, fax, data and video by Internet. FXS: Foreign Exchange Station. It is a voice interface, which connects analog phone, electrograph and IP phone. FXO: Foreign Exchange Office. It is a voice interface, which is a relay connection between center exchanger and digital phone exchange system.

What is SIP?

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is defined by IETF. It is a control protocol of application layer, based on IP. SIP will not defined or limited usable operations. Some problems, such as transmission, service quality, charge and safety is processed by basic core network and other protocols. SIP is widely supported by Microsoft, AOL, IETF, and 3GPP, etc. It could protect carrier’s investment and is provided with advanced technology and business value.
